Meet Jessie Medina of FEMX Quarters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Medina.

Hi Jessie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
FEMX Quarters is the first multi-purpose creative space in San Diego. We rent our space out for events, experiences, corporate meetings, workshops, conferences, coworking, podcasting, photoshoots, and more. We wanted to create a beautiful and modern space for people to bring their vision to life. Today FEMX Quarters is a Forbes Next1000 Company and was selected as Best Of San Diego by SD Magazine. We are most proud of our community and our growth despite the craziness of 2020.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We opened the last quarter of 2019 and saw great growth and then 2020 happened. Thankfully, we have a great community that stuck with us. Despite having to close our physical location, we offered free resources and virtual coworking which allowed us to connect and help others navigate through all the changes of 2020.

As you know, we’re big fans of FEMX Quarters. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
FEMX a for-purpose brand and 100 percent female founded creative space and event venue. We believe in diversity and offering a space that is welcoming and inspiring to everyone.

Our 3,600 sq.ft. space is decorated in a minimalist mid-century modern style with highly customizable tech features so people can truly make the space their own.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We love about San Diego is the community. Even though we are a newer company, the support of the community has been crucial for our fast growth and becoming a Forbes Next1000 company.

San Diego is very diverse and we wanted to offer a space that appealed and brought together people of all different backgrounds.
