Meet Jonathan Uphoff, Wes Lauer of San Diego Fitness in Sorrento Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Uphoff, Wes Lauer.

Jonathan, Wes, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been in the fitness industry for 20 years and have always maintained leadership roles throughout my career. When my vision for San Diego Fitness was designed, it was a 4 year process to have my concept come to fruition. I wanted to create an upscale and exclusive, indoor/outdoor facility that would provide our clients with an experience that they wouldn’t be able to get at another facility. Next, It was essential that I staffed San Diego Fitness will the highest quality trainers available in San Diego. In addition, I was fortunate to acquire Wes Lauer as my Studio Director. Wes has been a critical part of the growth process for San Diego Fitness.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is rarely a smooth ride. I’m a firm believer that creating a successful business begins with a solid foundation and creating a positive environment throughout the workplace. Forging the right staff to represent your brand takes patience to build a team. It has taken years to develop the identify the trainers who have helped create what San Diego Fitness is today
