Meet Joseph Snyder of Ignite Chiropractic in Chula Vista

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Snyder.

Joseph, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
A two-week-old child in Lima, Peru was sick with cholera and was being fed with a dropper because he was too weak to swallow. He was fading away and his immune system was not working well. A chiropractor saw this child and started to adjust the spine. Every couple of hours over a few days the child was administered a chiropractic adjustment and he started to gain mass and was able to swallow. His body started to turn on again his immune system was activated.

That story is my story, I was that two-week-old child in Peru and that Chiropractor would come to adopt me and bring me to St. Louis, Missouri where I was raised. I would go on to grow up in a chiropractic family and live under the premise that health comes from within and we heal inside out not outside in. I went to chiropractic school and came to practice in San Diego in 2011. It has been my mission to serve the message of chiropractic to the world and get sick people well and keep well people from getting sick

Has it been a smooth road?
I came to San Diego because I knew if I got out of my comfort zone, it would help me grow. It has been hard to grow a practice starting off where I have no family or friends. Over time I have learned to network and public speak to grow the practice. I have been In Coronado for the last six years and I have been voted best three years. The challenge has been the hustle but I have embraced it and I am better for it.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ignite Chiropractic – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
A chiropractic company that specializes in pediatric and family care. I started off working with athletes because I was one. I would return to private practice after working with Volleyball teams in LA, and find it more rewarding to help children with ear infections and common childhood ailments. Since I was from a chiropractic family I found it fitting to work with families. I am proud that we can help close the gap between parents knowing and not knowing their children can get chiropractic adjustment. In the gap kids are getting sick and 1 in 68 kids are on the spectrum, while there are many variables we know as chiropractors how a child moves in their first years is congruent with how their brain develops.

What sets the practice apart is, I didn’t choose chiropractic, it chose me and I am determined to continue to help families learn and educate them how they can be proactive and stay healthy instead of waiting for themselves and their families to get sick.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
San Diego has many unique people and a very active community. You can be outdoors 365 a year!!! People love to be active and staying healthy is important here.

San Diego is open to alternative health care and a wonderful place to bring chiropractic. It is a young city that is constantly growing and I am growing with it. 🙂
