Meet Kait Cole of Ecolife Conservation in Escondido

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kait Cole.

Kait is a native San Diegan, who has a deep passion for improving her community through educating our next generation on sustainable practices and environmental science. It was Kait’s grandfather who seeded her interest in cultivating organic food, which grew into a genuine care for our planet. This brought her to ECOLIFE, where she became immersed in the world of aquaponics and found enthusiasm for this sustainable grow method.

In addition to ECOLIFE’s Internship Program, Kait manages the Aquaponics Education Program, where classrooms can apply to receive free aquaponics resources. Kait finds purpose in sharing insight into a world where humans and nature prosper together. She is dedicated to teaching our youth how to incorporate green practices into everyday life in order to create positive change in our local community and beyond.

Kait began her journey at ECOLIFE as the part-time Office Coordinator. She understood the value of the foot-in-the-door approach and chose to utilize this position as an opportunity for further advancement. At the time, Kait was a novel aquaponics enthusiast so she would join ECOLIFE’S Aquaponics Technician & Education Director at their workshops, where she asked every question she could. After Kait had studied aquaponics for countless hours, gained numerous hands-on experiences, and went to various trainings she was offered the position of Aquaponics Education Manager.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
