Meet Kaithleen Apostol of Sarap Trip in University City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaithleen Apostol.

Kaithleen, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Sarap Trip started due to the love for all things masarap! “Masarap” is the Filipino word for yummy, delicious, scrumptious, appetizing — you get the deal. I wanted to create a platform for me to share my adventures with food. With the drive to explore and try new things, Sarap Trip was born. With my culture being a big part of my identity, I knew I wanted to pay homage to my roots. I grew up eating homemade Filipino food prepared by my grandma, her being the one who helped me develop my favorite tastes. Therefore, Sarap Trip is my little way of sharing my thoughts on all things food!

Has it been a smooth road?
Although it is not a full-pledged business at the moment, it is the beginning of my venture towards creating a lifestyle brand and agency. My goal one day is open up my own PR agency! This is my way of opening the doors towards that industry.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Sarap Trip story. Tell us more about the business.
Sarap Trip is the one stop spot for all things yummy and delicious. I am lifestyle blogger, food photographer, and social media strategist.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I hope to keep the Sarap Trips going!
