Meet Keith Mullin of Make Ideas in La Jolla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keith Mullin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Keith. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been inventing products since I was 11. I made snowboards in wood shop at La Jolla High in 1988, before snowboarding was even legal on the slopes. I currently have over 20 pending and approved patents and over 50 products in the marketplace, selling worldwide.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Product development takes a long time and since you are making something that no one has done before, each project is a struggle, since in most cases you have to create a new technology or manufacturing process from scratch.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Make Ideas – what should we know?
Make Ideas is a product development company, we specialize in new products for the toy, pet and food & beverage industries.

Most proud?? Creating the most indestructible pet chew toy in the market today. We always strive to invent products that are three to five years before their time.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Passion and love for what I do.
