Meet Khoa Truong

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khoa Truong.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I moved to San Diego from Vietnam a couple of years back and am incredibly grateful to call this city my new home!

I didn’t know the language when coming; nothing was familiar; it was a huge cultural shock. But with the help of the wonderful local community, it didn’t take long for me to feel like home here!

My love for nature has grown deeper since then, and the outdoor is always my go-to when it comes to seeking inspiration.

I’m a wedding & elopement photographer, and I’m blessed to do what I love for a living. I love all things weddings because capturing couples’ happiness brings me joy, and being able to give back those moments is the most fulfilling feeling.

Please tell us about your art.
I want to create photographs that can stand the test of time so couples can relive their day years from now and for generations to come.

My art focuses on moments and storytelling; I want to capture images that will always remind couples of how much they love each other and how beautiful the day was.

I’m all about the little moments, small details, the big feelings, all the elements that will make a story unique.

The best part about this job: I got adopted by my couples’ friends and families and became a part of the fam 🙂

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
I’d say if you’re not sure which path to follow yet, just keep going forth! Go out and explore often because that’s when I usually find Eureka moments. When stuck, I always think about this quote “may your search through nature lead you to yourself.” And Mother nature actually did a pretty good job on inspiring others!

Take care of your health so you can go out and conquer all the challenges.

More self-love and less self-doubt.

Say Yes more often to new experiences.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
