Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Renee Kuzmich Bengala.
Kristina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got here through my innate unwillingness to take anything at face value. I have a strong passion for matters of the heart and being truthful when things do not resonate. As a seeker of truth, I have made it a principle to move consciously throughout my life and it is exactly that, along with great loss and the challenges of being human, that has gotten me to where I am today.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Akuna Integrative Healing – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My offerings are not original and I am proud of. Instead what I share is a practice of honoring our healing process through many lineages, modalities and a wholeness medicine. My offerings are a culmination of differing integral healing from our ancestors and it is with deep reverence to weave them together for one’s self love, healing and optimal wellness. What however does stand out in my offerings is my own intuitive manner in which I work with individuals and groups. I hold space for individuals to explore their inner shadow, understand pain as medicine, discover limiting patterns, understand suffering and freedom and live a more joyful human experience!
I work in Carlsbad Village with local San Diego residents and tourist and I also provide online services for non-locals. Specifically, I offer individual and group sessions and courses, classes, and workshops in Mindfulness, Meditation, Massage Therapy, Breathwork and Yoga. Having the opportunity to integrate different modalities depending on what is needed in the moments allows for me and the client to navigate through healing in a whole and authentic way. I honor and respect where people show up. When they are ready, they will come and when they do that is when we really get to create a loving platform for deep exploration and self compassion.
I offer packages which provide a cost-effective way to receive the offerings, and the services may used in a mix and match form.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
First off, I adore this city. I love living in North County where the pace is a little slower than down south. The active beach lifestyle is prominent, and there is so much green space as well as the quick drives to get into the mountains. I would say what I like the best is the farming, the food, the continued education opportunities and the pockets of communities. As a practitioner of mindfulness, I tend to my wellness daily and that means being conscious of the food I eat, cook, and grow, the activities that I partake in and the communities I surround myself with. We live in such rich vegetation for farming and more conscious living opportunities keep popping up. What a blessing to have ample local food sources, the ability to grow food year round and to share this with so many other like minded souls. What I like least is a little tricky, but I would have to say for now it is the traffic. I have however, found that it allows me to practice slowing down my mind and enjoy an audio book or podcast, in which I may not have listened to if I wasn’t slowly “snailing” my way up to my office.
