Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristy Smith.
Kristy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Serenity Skin & Body Treatments in March 2017. After I finished school, I quickly got a job at massage envy giving facials and worked there for a year. I quickly realized that I could offer more personalized care and affordable skincare information and truly help people if I ran my own business, so I ventured out and opened up Serenity Skin & Body Treatments.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has been mostly smooth, and yet there have also been some bumps. Running Serenity Skin & Body Treatments has been, and is, truly a labor of love. I love the freedom and what I can offer my clients and I also love that it takes true grit and perseverance in order to succeed. It also takes faith, surrender, a positive mindset, and hard work. All of which I have plenty, and when times do seem hard, I have an incredible support system around me in my community of female self-starters.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Serenity Skin & Body Treatments story. Tell us more about the business.
I am an aesthetician. I work on skin and help people with acne, hyper pigmentation issues, anti-aging solutions, back facials, and E.O. aroma touch body treatments. I use all-natural products and talk to my clients a lot about ways in which they can improve their skin with affordable means and stuff that they have at home even. We talk about saving money and still getting the most effective skin care products, you can get and what works the best. My passion is helping people feel beautiful on the inside and out.
Relaxation therapy is the sweet icing on the cake. I love to give my clients that deep relaxation down time. I believe it is vital to our health to take time to go into deeper relaxation as that state of mind is very healing itself.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t know if it’s luck, but I have had many synchronicities happen where the right client comes at the right time or the right product is introduced or just the thing that is needed seems to happen right at the perfect timing.
Stuff like that happens a lot.
