Today we’d like to introduce you to Lavender Fields.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started playing classical piano at the age of 4 and have been mainly exposed to the classical world of music for the majority of my life. Then a few years ago I felt the urge to compose my own music and my sister gave me my first acoustic instrument which was a ukulele. I started writing songs using voice, piano, guitar and ukulele and performing them live.
After a while, I wanted to expand my composing abilities and sound design skills and I learned Ableton which is a software for making electronic music. Ever since then I have been producing my own songs and performing them live. I wanted my music to make people dance and have a great time, that’s why the music I produce is more dance-oriented. I think movement and music are very powerful means of bringing in positive energy into the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anything worth doing will have some challenges and will take time so I am being patient and don’t let obstacles on the road to distract me. Life of an independent artist is definitely not easy and the struggles are many. But when I am able to create something that puts a smile on people’s faces it makes any daily challenges seem very trivial.
Please tell us about Lavender Fields.
I am deeply passionate about the Earth, environment, ocean’s well-being and keeping this planet as well preserved as possible for the future generations. This is definitely an underlying theme in a lot of my songs. I am also working on a project of planting bee gardens in every city that I tour. Particularly lavender plants because apparently purple and blue colors attract the bees the most!
One of my dreams is to make a lasting contribution to the well-being of our beautiful planet that will ensure its preservation for the future generations. Music is a very powerful thing and together with environmental awareness, it can create miracles. That is what Lavender Fields stands for essentially. I am also a vegan and love to share new fun vegan recopies that I come up with my fans. I believe in plant-based living which is so beneficial for both our health and our planet.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Playing my childhood piano and watching the sunset by the ocean.
