Meet Leslie Weinstein and Nicole Cropper of The Loving Owl in Bankers Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Weinstein and Nicole Cropper.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We have been working together at another salon for 6 years. We weren’t as happy as we thought we could be, so we wondered what it would look like if we created our own business. Within 3 months we were up and running as The Loving Owl. It all fell in to place very quickly and organically.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For the most part it was smooth sailing. Our biggest challenge was in our minds, and trusting ourselves that we were doing the right thing.

The Loving Owl – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in natural nail care. Manicures and Pedicures only. We know we are good technicians, but what separates us from others is our friendship. It’s a very special relationship when you can work together all day, then still want to grab a drink together and catch up after work. Because of that, we are able to provide a loving and supportive environment for all people.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We define our success by the relationships we have built with our clients over the years. We have known some of them for a decade. We have shared laughs, tears, marriages, children, breakthroughs, etc. Helping others feel good about who they brings us great joy.
