Meet Madison Marchetti

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Marchetti.

Madison, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Growing up, my parents always encouraged me to try new things, take on new challenges, and learn as much as I could about whatever I could. My dad, who helped launch several medical companies, was instrumental in my career development. He taught me to step out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in different opportunities to learn what I was good at and enjoyed.

Throughout my four years at Southern Methodist University, I held a number of internships, in different industries, and even in different cities. The ability to learn how things were done in a large company versus a small startup helped me see the positives and shortcomings of both, and I think the insights that helped me in the next stage of my life were subconsciously developing in my mind during this time. Through different work experiences and my coursework, I discovered that I wanted to pursue a career that married my analytical abilities with my creative skillset which is how I landed in the digital marketing and social media space.

Once I graduated, I left Dallas and moved to San Diego, a city that was familiar yet very new for me. Excited about what the future held, I gained more experience from an agency perspective for a year, before realizing I wanted to launch my own boutique-sized agency.

After living in Coronado for a year, I had the opportunity to meet a handful of small business owners, all while learning more about the town’s unique community. I identified an underserved market; most small business owners in Coronado have small teams, so it made sense for them to outsource their marketing projects and initiatives. To cater to these businesses, I set up a small operation in which we provide customized services for each business that we work with. No two businesses are alike, and each client provides us with new challenges and opportunities to be creative.

Has it been a smooth road?
Madison Ave Media has been in business for one year, and there were many challenges that I experienced during this time. The first was defining Madison Ave Media’s niche. Where we could help businesses eventually became clear, and we were uniquely equipped to work with both small businesses and medical professionals which is where we focused all of our efforts.

Another obstacle I faced was finding the right mentor. I did not have a particularly large business network in San Diego, so finding the right person for guidance took longer than I had expected. Time and perseverance paid off, and I was able to find a great mentor who has since provided invaluable advice to our company.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Madison Ave Media – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

By doing this, our customers can grow their businesses with the confidence that their marketing is thriving. We specialize in Google Ads, social media, web design, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and content creation. If you had to start over, what would you have done differently?
I would have joined networking groups much sooner. I’m an active member of the Coronado Chamber of Commerce and serve as the Marketing Director for Coronado Rotaract. Coronado Rotaract is an organization of young professionals who are passionate about the community and service. Through activities, events, and service, Rotaract members work towards changing and improving the Coronado community. Both groups have allowed me to develop great business relationships and provided so much value in my business.
