Meet Marc Nimetz of Marc Nimetz Farmers Insurance Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marc Nimetz.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I graduated from California State University, San Marcos in 2007. A few months after graduation I got a job with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I spent 3 years there working in insurance rentals/situations, and after leaving that job in 2011, I decided that becoming an insurance agent was a good fit. I liked the ability to be a business owner, have the freedom of making my own hours and enjoying what I do.

I submitted my resume on and a few days later, Farmers Insurance contacted me for an interview. I went in and haven’t looked back. I’ve been in the business 7 1/2 years, the first 5+ years spent between Clairemont Mesa and Sorrento Valley and in April 2017, I moved my office to Poway to be closer to my home and family.

I love educating my clients about the products/services we offer. My agency is full service, from selling you the policy to helping you with policy questions/billing issues, and walking you through the claims process with the assistance of our claims team.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to where I am today hasn’t always been smooth. My dad passed away in 2013 and as the Executor of his estate, I had to juggle not only that but my agency too. It was a busy few months following his death, but I put 30 minutes – 1 hour worth of time a day to focus on the estate issues, and then I’d get back to working on the agency.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Marc Nimetz Farmers Insurance Agency – what should we know?
I started my Farmers Insurance Agency in 2011. We specialize in the following:
-Workers Comp
-Errors and Omissions
and more

What sets me apart from my competition is dealing with an advisor who knows a thing or two, because he’s seen it. Not to be catchy with the Farmers Insurance commercial advertisement, but I see a lot of things my competitors won’t cover and insurance can be tricky in many different ways and a lot of companies out there don’t ask the right questions in determining coverage or when it comes to covering a claim. That’s where I’m different, I get involved in the majority of my client’s claims because my agency cares.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
