Meet Megan Hitchcock of Hitchcock Financial Services in University City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Hitchcock.

Megan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have done accounting work for a long time and about five years ago I became certified as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and also a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer, and then started my business.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a business has come with some challenges, but they have been worth the rewards. Time management has been one challenge for me. Although having freedom to create my own schedule is a benefit to having my own business, I have found that sticking to a routine is important, as well as maintaining a work-life balance.

Hitchcock Financial Services – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a QuickBooks expert specializing in bookkeeping, QuickBooks consulting and tax preparation for businesses. I offer virtual services to businesses nationwide as well as mobile services in San Diego.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as having happy clients and continuing to provide accounting services that are of value. I believe that I am successful by helping other people to be successful.
