Meet Mohamed and Ahmed Elserihi of Juice Fella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mohamed and Ahmed Elserihi.

Hi Mohamed and Ahmed, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Back in 2020, I was an airline pilot with “Compass Airlines” a regional carrier that used to fly for Delta and American airlines, Life was great and I was about to upgrade to a captain but then the coronavirus hit the world, people started panicking, businesses started to struggle and I knew then that it will be bad for the airlines, so I started to think about having a plan B in case something happens to my job, since I was a kid I always loved fruit and I used to make smoothies since a young age so I called my brother Ahmed and we decided to buy a food truck and take our time getting it ready so it can be a side hustle, now it’s April my airlines went out of business and ceased operation 04/07/2020 (RIP). So now I have the truck, a PHD in watching YouTube DIY videos and time, so we decided to build it ourselves, it took us a year but we got it done ourselves, we opened in April of 2021 in Pacific Beach, and I am glad that we were able to achieve such an accomplishment.

Here at JUICE FELLA we only use the freshest organic fruits and vegetables, nothing is frozen everything is fresh and we don’t use flavoring syrups, we have Smoothies, Juices, Shakes, Protein-based blends, Acai Bowls, Salads, Avocado Toasts and Oatmeal.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting your own business is never an easy task, with food trucks there’s a lot of work, from designing the layout of your equipment to picking up a logo and design for your truck’s wrap, but the trickiest part was the permits, getting all the required inspections and permits can take a long time and it was worse for me during the pandemic I think it took me about 3-4 months to get all the required inspections and permits because they had a long wait time due to the pandemic.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Patience is a virtue, and starting a new business can be very stressful, so always be patient and positive and life will reward you. But how can I practice my patience? Easy. Just remember that there’s someone out there trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty and they will never stop.
