Meet Natalia De la Motta of Wax Me Boutique in La Jolla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalia De la Motta.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I always had a passion for beauty and skincare since my early teenager years. In 2007 I pursue a career in Esthetics and a year later I became a Licensed Esthetician. After working for several spas and waxing salons throughout San Diego, I decided to open Wax Me Boutique in 2013. It has been the most rewarding 4 years of my career and the most challenging as well. Running a business is not an easy task. When I graduated esthetics school I wasn’t expecting that I would be doing so much waxing. It helped me build a regular clientele and now many of my waxing clients have also become facial clients. I started with a small group of clients and eventually I grew my clientele base to over a thousand clients.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s always challenging to find balance between personal and professional life. Hiring the right staff that offer the same level of service as I do. In addition to that, it can be physically challenging from doing repetitive services. I try to eat well, exercise and get 8 hours of sleep a night to feel my best and have my skin looking great.

Wax Me Boutique is a 5 star skincare boutique. From Brow artistry, body waxing, facials, lash extensions, sunless tanning and the latest addition Eyebrow Microblading. I specialize in providing my clients with professional waxing services and clinical skin care treatments while incorporating the latest technology in facial equipment and products, which give my clients optimal results.

I had my esthetics license in 2008. Since then I have become certified in Microdermabrasion, Chemical peels, Dermaplaning and have taken various continuing education classes such as the advanced esthetics with PCA Skin and product knowledge classes with Le Mieux Cosmetics, Skin Script and Eminence Organic. I also attend trade shows every year and read industry magazines and blogs which keep me up-to-date on all the latest in the esthetics industry.

Also taking excellent care of each and every client by always going above and beyond, earning their trust.  I enjoy getting to know my clients and understanding their lifestyles.  It’s very rewarding for me to improve people’s confidence by taking excellent care of their skin.
