Meet Natalie Falletta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Falletta.

Hi Natalie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my love for skin care in 2007. I have always been infatuated with the skin and beauty Industry. At 23 years old and waiting tables, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I met a girl one day and she started doing my brows. I love what she did, so then I started doing facials with her. Every time I went in there, I was intrigued by what she was doing and became very curious of that industry as a whole. After years of appointments, she became more than just my esthetician – she was a friend. As we chatted, like we did every session, she kindly asked what my future career plans were. I said, “not sure at the moment.” She suggested beauty school to me because she knew I had a love and passion for this type of work. So now, my friend became my mentor. She set me up and told me where to go. I completed school, got my license and I was off!!! I was lucky enough to find a job right out of school. I worked for them for ten years before I decided to step away and start my own business, Natalie Falletta Skin Care.

As of today, I’m five years in to working for myself and could not be happier!! I love all my clients, who are not just clients, but friends. It’s one of those jobs where you can honestly say that you love what you do. I get to see people I love on a daily basis. My clients and family are my support team, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say the biggest struggle would’ve been the pandemic of 2020. I was terrified that I wasn’t going to be able to keep my business open, as I watched so many small businesses have to close their doors. I put my blood, sweat and tears into my business, so the thought of losing it all was terrifying.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Well, this one is fun! I would say my specialty is brows! I LOVE LOVE doing brows. It’s an artwork in itself. Everyone’s brows are different with a unique style and look.  They are just as fun to create, as it is to see a happy client flaunt them. Facials and peels bring a different gratification. Having someone come in with troubled skin and trusting me to transform it is so rewarding. That’s what makes my job special, personable and individualized to each person that walks into Natalie Falletta Skin Care.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
The book Manual of Chemical Peels is fascinating because it was written in 1995 by a clinical professor named Mark G. Ruben. It goes in-depth of how and what peels are made of and the steps to properly do a chemical skin peel.

I love to follow Kristie Streicher, who has mastered the brows in more ways than one. I love to watch her videos and learn little tips and tricks of the trade. In my industry, learning new styles and staying updated on the trends keeps you a well-educated professional.
