Meet Paige and Kyle Rigg of Baby Go Round Resale in Grantville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige and Kyle Rigg.

Paige and Kyle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We are high school sweethearts who married in 2013. Paige’s childhood best friend owned the business while we worked there during college. When she was ready to pursue a new career path, we decided to purchase it from her in 2016. We feel passionate as a family-owned business to help other families in our community live in San Diego on a budget and reuse and recycle baby and children items. Everyone who works at Baby Go Round are family members or close friends. We love meeting new people and helping them find resale treasures. We resell baby, children and maternity clothing, as well as toys and baby equipment.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Owning a small business will always have its challenges. We work with a relatively small staff which can present difficulties if we have coworkers who are sick or on vacation. But we always manage to overcome and do our best to make the day run smoothly for our customers.

Resale is always a developing and changing business as well – as the economy and retail prices change, we do our best to keep our prices as low as possible for customers while also covering business overhead and expenses.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Baby Go Round Resale story. Tell us more about the business.
We believe being a family-owned business sets us apart from our competition. We try to make the store atmosphere feel like a home away from home. Our staff is friendly and want you to feel welcome like you’re hanging out with old buddies.

Everything in our store is sold to us from people within our community. We purchase gently-used clothing, shoe, toy and baby gear items. Our customers can choose between getting cash or store credit for their items.

We definitely specialize in sizes newborn to 5, but we also have a small selection of clothing for ages 6-14.

We make sure all of our toy and gear items are in clean, functional, working condition before they hit the sales floor.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
We feel very lucky that when our friend and former owner of Baby Go Round was ready to change career paths, that we were able to keep the business in the “family” and continue to serve San Diego.

We’re grateful to be able to spend every day working with family and friends and have such amazing customers. We would not be where we are today without our loyal and sweet clientele.

  • Clothing Items typically range between $1.00 and $10.99
  • Toy Prices start at just $1.00
  • Most of our clothing averages at $2.99
