Meet Paloma Sanders of Massage SoCal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paloma Sanders.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been a massage therapist since 2009. I attended massage school at Our Lady Of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, LA. A native of Louisiana, I moved to San Diego in 2013. Working as a massage therapist I have gained well over 15,000 hours of massage experience. Traveling all over Southern California allowed me to work in various massage settings. Music festivals, backstage at concerts, corporate events, spas, casinos and athletic events just to name a few.

I had worked for many massage companies for so many years, I knew it was my time to step out on faith and make something great of my name. The love of massage and with the desire to help others heal, I decided it was time to open up shop. In 2016 Massage SoCal was born. Massage SoCal is an everyday growing mobile massage & cupping business serving all of San Diego.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. In September of 2016 Massage SoCal grew to where I was able to open an actual location for all those that were not interested in having mobile massage. Unfortunately, my location was only open for a year before we needed to relocate. We have yet to find a new location and are now back to being a mobile service only. It definitely put a small stress on business because I loss some clients from it, but now I am gaining new clients that are interested in having in-home massages.

It’s definitely not easy being a small business owner but its doable. Lot’s of dedication and mistakes but with time you find your way to gain clients and keep them, and make money instead of throwing a lot of it away.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Massage SoCal – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Massage SoCal is a mobile massage & cupping business. We specialize in various massage modalities and offer cupping therapy to the comfort of your own home. We are known for being a very flexible business, not only do we offer in home services but we do a lot of events where we offer chair massages. As a business I am most proud that we leave a lot of people happy, happy enough to where they are sharing our names with friends, their families & businesses. We get a lot of referrals and it’s solely because we leave the clients wanting a little more. The thing that sets Massage SoCal apart from others is I am able to give off the impression that there are multiple people making this business run smoothly when actual there is only one. With that being said, every encounter with clients are genuine and personable because there is only one person running the show.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like that San Diego is very diverse. Every person can offer you something new and exciting. I least like that our city can be over saturated with a lot of franchise type businesses.
