Meet Patrick Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Smith.

Patrick, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Originally from Maryland and moved to San Diego to pursue my goals of making music and art. I started writing music and making video content when I was 15. I’ve played guitar in a few bands, and now I am a vocalist for an electronic pop band called Pact Product. The last few years my business partner Ian Blaemire and I have shot, directed, and produced several music videos, along with countless songs. I also have been pursuing a photography career. Taking photos and videos of live music and lifestyle vlogs and photos.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been the smoothest process. Trying to find reliable people to work with and growing up in a small town with a small scene. Moving across the country and leaving everything I’ve known behind.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a vocalist. I’m a band called Pact Product, and I’m very proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish. Being able to write and record music along with making music videos and skits to go with the music. Directing and producing content is rewarding because I get to see my visions come to life. We make fun electronic music that brings humor and joy to others while dressing up in costumes to bring life to the music. I am willing to step out of my comfort zone to convey different characters in order to show the true meaning and story behind the music.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
The music that I write and perform is fun and goofy but hidden in them are messages about depression and anxiety to try and help others understand and get through the hard times in life.
