Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Bear.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My husband Roy and I were in the beginning stages of our new Wedding Co., so we attended a lot of industry functions and noticed a big photo booth presence out there. We were immediately drawn to it, so we decided to add one to our company portfolio with the idea that we would focus on amping up the customer experience with a top-notch system and lots of high quality props and outstanding customer service. After much research we decided on the booth that we have now and Keepsake Memory Booth was born in Oct of 2016.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a smooth road for the most part, but there definitely was a learning curve when the booth first arrived. I had to teach myself on my own how to operate and run the photo booth software, trouble shoot and also how to work in Photo Shop. I did this by watching online software tutorials, signed up for photo shop classes and with the help of our photo booth community, I was able to overcome the learning curve.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a small and fun family run boutique photo booth company that will arrive an hour before your event start time and set up an awesome looking 10′ x 10′ open air photo booth area with over a 100 high quality props, hats and signs. We always have at a minimum two Memory Maker’s manning the photo booth, entertaining guests and tiding up. We want to make sure that everyone is having fun, and everything stays fresh and neat, so that each guest has the same experience when they enter the booth. When they walk out of the booth they get to take home a gorgeous personalized 4″ x 6″ photo postcard or 2″ x 6″ photo strips depending on what their host has chosen and they can also email themselves a copy if they wish.
We are also very proud to offer our Memory Book scrap book station for guests to affix a second set of prints to and leave the hosts a personal message. This is a super fun addition to any photo booth package and the guests love it! We set up a separate table that includes a 12″ by 12″ memory book, stickers, scrap book embellishments, glue and pens, so guests can get their scrap booking on and at the end of the night the hosts are presented with a beautiful photo album full of memories that they will have for years to come and was created by their guests!
Another brand new option that I am so excited to announce is the addition of our new Online Photo Gallery. This has replaced our old USB drive option and I know that guests are going to love it! Once the gallery is live the hosts and the guests will be able to view all the photos taken at their event in a slide show, download individual images or purchase extra prints in a variety of sizes.
Based on our reviews I think what we are most known for is our wide selection of props and the fun times that guests have when they step into our photo booth. I am proud of everything that we have accomplished with the Keepsake Memory Booth, but there are two things that make me beam with pride. The first is when the guest steps into the booth…looks around and says wow! The second is when they either leave the booth or are leaving for the night and thank me personally for providing them with so much fun!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always more of a unique individual with a deep love and compassion for people and animals.
