Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Green.
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a lover of film. Both shooting, editing and watching. Film has been my passion throughout my life. My art comes from capturing the feelings and emotions of a particular event through my camera. On my down time, I strive to spend as much time in nature as possible. Filming the outdoors is what started me on the path to filming professionally. I launched Ryan Green Films in 2015. Slowly but surely the demand has increased and has lead to where I am today. I am committed to learning new aspects of filming and editing which allows me to continue to expand my business and look to the future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far so good. When I first launched my business I was emersed in a competitive market for videographers. I focused on filming weddings in the beginning and over the years have developed a particular style that captures the essence of the big day. I am now able to fill up my wedding calendar a year in advance. I have heard many stories of videographers struggles and hurdles and I do my best to learn from others’ mistakes. I find that being committed to learning new aspects of filming and editing allows me to continue to expand my business and look to the future. I have learned the importance of being organized and see how it helps eliminate unnecessary resistance while running a business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I offer professional film production services based out of San Diego. While I do film for businesses I specialize in creating unique and hand-crafted wedding films. I avoid the cheesy traditional wedding videos and do my best to capture footage that truly tells the story of the couple. On the day of the wedding, I specialize in being forgettable…. in a good way. I use long lenses which allow me to film from a distance. I aim to capture the real natural love of the day while not being a distraction.
What are your plans for the future?
Looking forward I plan on continuing to provide unforgettable wedding films to my couples while expanding my business into other commercial markets. Wedding films will continue to be my main focus.
