Today we’d like to introduce you to Saul Almeida.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My passion for the arts started at an early age, attending plastic and musical arts classes in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico at the age of eight, my rediscovery of plastic arts developed even more in my adolescence while I was in Alhambra high school in Phoenix Arizona and where I had the opportunity to be part of the “vision” program of Scottsdale Art Museum. Since then I have mainly work in commissioned paintings and I have exhibited my work in several galleries in Tijuana Baja California, Phoenix Arizona and Mexico City.
Please tell us about your art.
In my work I try to be spontaneous, free my mind while I am enjoying myself with the composition that I create with each stroke, in my paintings I try to transmit joy, nostalgia, audacity, emulate a connection with my entrepreneurial lifestyle where I wish to encourage those who They surround me that it is possible to achieve your dreams and be passionate with your ideals.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
It is being influenced for good or bad by artistic fashions and without realizing losing originality and starting to imitate or other artists.
