Meet Tatiana Morris of VlogTatiana in La Jolla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Morris.

Tatiana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story starts with my eyes. My dad bought a video camera when I was three years old. My sister and I would play with the pots and pans on the kitchen floor while my mom prepared lunch. We had several family videos to watch over the years growing up.

My family and I would laugh again, cry again, or perceive how we view life differently now. To me, it was entertaining. I realized how valuable recording moments can be and decided to purchase a video camera for myself. Since then I have recorded birthday parties, weddings, mini commercials for small businesses, engagements, babies, retreats, sports, music videos and many more moments in action.

I even recorded myself interviewing my mom, dad, and grandfather. Video recording has become a part of me, and I often catch myself throughout the day thinking “How would this look on video?” or “How could I capture that and edit it to bring to portray a message?”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Videography has never been a smooth road. There has always been a struggle to capture the unexpected moments. However, I learn every day how I can become a better videographer and director. Editing videos have taught me that if I can pre-plan the structure of how I will edit, the rest is up to me with being in the present moment with my camera.

Now, I realize that capturing the content is the easy part. Editing the content to make it enticing to watch is the hard part. People are busy, and it seems they are getting busier and busier every day. My greatest challenge is to edit the content so that it adds value to the viewer. I want people to feel enlightened, inspired and entertained when they watch my videos.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business name is called vLogTatiana. V is for video. Log in to record an event. And Tatiana is my name! I specialize in recording stories. Whether I’m recording a music video, speech or any other form of expression, I look for moments that capture the true essence of the story. The story gives us an underlying message. There is a beginning, middle, and end to a video. The message will linger.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to continue to create motion pictures and build my brand. My current project is creating my YouTube channel called Eco Clean Queen. I had a housecleaning business for several years, and my mom did too.

Over the years, I have learned how to clean houses using eco-friendly cleaning methods. It has improved the way I work and has also improved the quality of life for the people around me. I want to share what I have learned with the world.

Since I have videography and editing skills, my idea is to express my love for cleaning with green cleaning methods into short, less than a minute videos and upload them onto my YouTube channel.

I have my emerald green outfits lined up, my crown is currently being designed by a lady I met through Etsy, and I have my short video ideas all sketched out. I am just about ready for lights, camera, and action! Stay tuned!
