Meet Tiina Keskitupa-Smith of Tiina K

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiina Keskitupa-Smith.

Tiina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Finland but always wanted to live abroad. Few months after I turned 18 I moved to the UK to study and stayed there. Worked different jobs and finally started modeling in 2010. Started getting work through modeling websites. I moved to California in 2013, and now modeling here.

I also paint and sell paintings online and in Art Tradition Gallery in Escondido. #artbytiina

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been quite smooth when I finally started. I was 26. I got quite busy within few months after starting modeling, but it took me long time to get even started, I went to modeling school at 15 so learned something, but I didn’t know anyone in the industry, didn’t know how to get started, didn’t have enough confidence.. but modeling gives me confidence.

After moving to California I had to make all new contacts again. I’m always trying, and I have lovely supporters and followers, and get mainly good feedback..keeps me going.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Tiina K story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m a freelance model. I shoot fashion, glamour, nude, and erotic, and I also do life modeling for artists, and tv-extra work. I’m hardworking, always on time, never let anyone down, and you’ll get lots of great photos shooting with me.

I love what I do and never get bored of this. I’m proud how long I’ve been doing this, and planning to carry on as long as I can.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t think it’s luck… You create your own good or bad luck. What you do and think is what you get.

  • 75$ ph for photo shoots. Plus travel outside of San Diego.
  • 30$ ph for life modeling.
