Meet Trailblazer Christina Solis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Solis.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Christina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
So, It all started in January 2016 when I decided I was going to quit my job and travel the world. I was the first in my family and circle of friends to do anything like this and I wanted so badly to take them all with me… so, what did I do? Started a blog. I wrote all out about my adventures, it was just like a call back home, I just didn’t have to peat and repeat the story haha. I’ve aleays had a thing for writing but that’s when I fell in love with it. After six months of travel and a few unfortunate “hiccups” later, I found myself back at home. Exactly where I didn’t want to be. I stopped writing and fell into a depression. After a while, I started receiving messages saying they missed my stories of adventure and wanted to know why I had stopped. At that moment, I realized that I still had so much to offer and people were waiting to continue my journey with me, even if it wasn’t galavanting all over the world, that’s where the real magic happened. I started my blog, G with the Flow, a lifestyle based blog about growing what you go through (especially through travel, mind/ body wellness and entrepreneurship. It took some time, but I was able to find my groove back and start doing what I left again. But it doesn’t stop there, I realized if I wanted to make this my full-time career, I needed to offer more value than just the ramblings of my day today. That is where I created Wildflower Tours, a travel company dedicated to inspire and encourage travel and community, focusing on solo female travel. I am happy to share with you all, that I just launch my first successful adventure and it was incredible! Watching dreams come into reality is something no one could’ve ever prepared me for.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh, it has 100% not been a smooth road. I’m not sure if anything in life is. The biggest struggle I have faced in my own self-confidence and the lack of belief that I am enough. In the age of social media, it is very easy to lose yourself and compare your success and essentially you’re entire being to someone else’s journey. That just can not happen. One of my biggest pieces of advice is to focus on you’re own value, visions, and overall journey. We are all living life at the rate we are supposed to. Sometimes, things will feel out of control, like you’ve made the biggest mistake in investing in yourself, believing that you could actually pull this off… but like I said, if there’s one piece of advice I’d give any women, in any stage of their journey, it is to trust that you are where you are meant to be. To keep your head high even when you want to cry and to push past all those fears and haters, YOU ARE ENOUGH AND YOU ARE JUST WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about @secretsofsunshine / @wildflowertours – what should we know?
So, I like to say I’m a multi-potentialite a.k.a. someone who does all the things. First, I have my blog, Grow with the Flow, which I am so proud of. It is my creative outlet where I can share my transformation throughout life and inspire others to make some changes as well. Then, I have my lifestyle brand/influencer account @secretsofsunshine. This is something else I am very proud of. I am a HUGE believer in “the WiFi revolution” and being involved in the influencer marketing proves my point even further. I love how our generation is changing the foundation of the game. My influencer account is a place where I get to share my day to day, where I support local companies and show others how to happily live with creating your own “lifestyle”. Lastly, Wildflower Tours, you’ve read previously, is my heart and soul. I love that I am able to foster travel and new relationships in the women travel community. I think what sets me apart from others, is my ability to constantly live in the silver linings, while staying grounded and aware, all while looking for a way to bring others along with me

Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
