Meet Trailblazer Hannah Cases

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Cases.

Hannah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
From a young age, I would sneak into my mom’s bedroom and try on all her lipsticks in front of her vanity mirror. I would beg for her to let me take a bubble bath while wearing some lipstick… I know, so extra! I would study all of the beautiful celebrities in my grandmother’s magazines on her back porch dreaming of the day I would be able to play dress up in real life.

My fascination for all things beauty never ended. I love blogging and making makeup tutorials because it’s a way for me to both express my creativity and help others learn how to achieve whatever look they are going for. Makeup can be intimidating and I love to give others a way to express themselves the way they have always wanted to.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first started my makeup artist/blogger journey, I felt the need to be like everyone else who was popular on Instagram and YouTube. It is easy to try to fit a mold of what you think people want. I quickly realized that being my quirky self may not get me millions of followers right away, but it is going to give me an authentic community who truly supports me and my brand. I would take an engaged, loyal following over instant fame any day!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Hannah With The Lipstick – what should we know?
I am a Beauty Blogger, YouTune Creator, and Makeup Artist. My tutorials and blog posts are catered toward anyone from beginner all the way to advanced. I am most known for my bright and glowy makeup that focusses on making the skin look radiant. I am huge on skincare so all of my followers know that I believe in taking care of your skin first – makeup second. My dedication to helping my followers know when to splurge on products and when to save their money sets me apart. Some products are worth their price, however, there are tons of drugstore options that are just as good. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to feel beautiful.

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
Don’t take your follower count or how many likes you get on social media too seriously. Just keep producing amazing content and having fun! This is not a popularity contest, give yourself permission to explore who you are as an artist. People will recognize your authenticity.
