Meet Trailblazer Jessica Marx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Marx.

Jessica Marx has over a decade of sales and executive management experience. In her most recent role as Senior Director of National Sales and Corporate Strategy for a multi-billion dollar startup, she managed one of the top leading medical sales teams and held a position in the C Suite office. This not only gave her insight into daily sales practices on a national level but taking deliverables from the CEO and making them tangible for Sales. Jessica’s strategic approach and passion for business is second to none.

Jessica decided to launch The Heart and Hustle Company in 2018 so she could guide other entrepreneurs to the same level of success she has been able to achieve. She takes each goal and is able to tie it to revenue growth for her clients. Jessica specializes in streamlining processes, identifying areas of wasteful spend and motivating her clients to level up to their best self. She has created and developed programs to make business owners and entrepreneurs simplify the way they do business while continuing to grow month over month. She will challenge the way you think and pull out a level of confidence you didn’t know you had. Jessica is truly passionate about working with successful, ambitious professionals to help elevate their position in the market place.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Entrepreneurship is never a smooth road but I truly believe that every obstacle along the way are what create thriving businesses and leaders. From each experience I face, good or bad, I always have a takeaway that changes the way I do business in the future. For me, the biggest struggle was leaving my role for a large corporation where I was fortunate to work with an incredible team of highly knowledgable professionals. I truly enjoyed going into the office every day and being surrounded with driven individuals all working towards the same goal. Through networking I’ve found an awesome group of other entrepreneurs to collaborate with.

My best advice for entrepreneurs just starting their journey is to learn as much as possible and don’t wait for the time to be right. There are so many incredible resources for little to no cost that can help you get started. There will never be a perfect time; you have to just go for it!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Heart and Hustle Company – what should we know?
The Heart and Hustle Company is a space for entrepreneurs and business owners to thrive. I not only guide my clients but provide the tools necessary to up-level their businesses and stop playing small. My background in corporate strategy, as well as sales, allows me to have a strategic approach to growing and scaling their business. I am so incredibly passionate about business and the ability to live out ones dreams.

What sets me apart from others in my industry is my background in working for multi-billion dollar corporations. I have real, tangible experience and know exactly what it takes to elevate a business to it’s peak potential.

The success of my clients is what drives me and makes me so incredibly proud of the brand.

We’re interested to hear your thoughts on female leadership – in particular, what do you feel are the biggest barriers or obstacles?
I think the biggest barrier female leaders are facing is battling the stigma of simply being a woman in business. Now more than ever, we have the most incredible women holding roles within the C suite of large companies however they are still being labeled a “woman” rather than a professional. I hope our next generation of executives sees a shift in the statistics and we have more female leaders operating/overseeing corporations.
