Meet Trailblazer Sara Roth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Roth.

Sara, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My passion for all things health + wellness started in my late 20s when I was struggling to get pregnant. Although, I considered myself pretty healthy at the time, I wanted to learn more about nutrition so I enrolled in The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My time at IIN fueled my passion for nutrition even further and I knew at that point in time that I wanted to work in the wellness field. Shortly after getting my certification as a Holistic Health Coach, I had my daughter, Harper, and knew that I wanted a job that allowed me to be at home with her as much as possible. I didn’t know yet what that job was, but when she was just a few months old, the stars aligned and I was introduced to the two amazing female founders of a brand new SD company that ran clean eating challenges. I loved their food philosophy and the way they were making it fun, so I was so excited to be hired on as one of their Health Advisors. I’m currently still in that role, and love the community so much!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest obstacle on my path has definitely been myself! Self-doubt and fear of failure has almost gotten the best of me many times, but persevering through those is the only way to go! I constantly have to remind myself that it’s ok not to be perfect, and any successful individual out there has had their own struggles and failures! Having a tribe of supportive friends + family helps so much.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Inspired Health by Sara – what should we know?
About a year ago, with the encouragement of friends & family, I established my own personal health + wellness biz- Inspired health by Sara. I created a website and Instagram account to share my tips, recipes, & services. Then my dear friend and owner of FWRD Barre + Fitness asked me to create a custom nutrition program and cookbook for her studio clients. The FWRD Fuel program that I created for them has been hugely successful, with participants changing their body composition, gaining energy, confidence, and improving their overall health. In addition to running the nutrition program a few times per year, I also have created a few cookbooks that focus on healthy meals that are quick & easy (think 30 minutes or less) and family-friendly. I would say that my specialty is making healthy living practical as a busy mom! I don’t expect anyone to have hours to spend in the kitchen or have 30 different types of supplements to take! I pride myself on making healthy living accessible & sustainable!

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
Quiet that voice in your head that tells you that you’re not good enough! Hustling is great, but make sure that you’re taking time for self-care too!
