Troy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We bring your event to life! TNT Entertainment is a San Diego DJ and event entertainment company, and has been entertaining Southern California since 2004. TNT offers experienced San Diego Wedding DJ’s and MC’s, San Diego Corporate DJ’s and MC’s, photo booths, event lighting (up lights, gobos and dance lighting), screen and projectors for presentations and slideshows, live acoustic guitar for wedding ceremonies, and live trivia shows for any event that needs entertainment!
Specializing in San Diego weddings and corporate events, TNT has entertained at all of Southern California’s finest venues including the San Diego Convention Center, Qualcomm Stadium and the Hotel Del Coronado. TNT Entertainment is also a preferred DJ vendor at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse, Quail Haven Farm, and Bella Terrace Equestrian Estate.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With my background in radio and as a musician since the age of 6, I feel like I worked out all the kinks before I started TNT Entertainment.
Every event is different and requires a difference vibe and element of entertainment. TNT is excellent at adapting to each event to bring the highest level of entertainment possible.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about TNT Entertainment – what should we know?
TNT Entertainment specializes in DJ’s, live music, photo booths, and lighting. We are a one stop shop for your event’s entertainment needs.
Not only is the head DJ and owner Troy Cook a DJ and MC, but he also has over 20 years of experience as a pianist and guitarist which definitely sets him aside from his competition. Troy offers classical guitar for wedding ceremonies as well as background guitar for cocktail hour.
TNT Entertainment is also an interactive DJ service, meaning that we do not just hang out behind our table and play music for the evening. We get the crowd involved, dance with them, lead line dances, and make it an interactive experience for the guests.

Troy’s father Mike Cook hosted a trivia game show on the radio for 25 years in San Diego.
Growing up, Troy produced his shows and learned a lot about sound editing, producing, and entertainment from his father throughout the 2 decades of producing his show, as well as other radio programs including Chargers and Padres broadcasts.
Many DJ’s around San Diego including Dale Gottschalk of San Diego DJ and Video have mentored Troy Cook and TNT Entertainment, and helped with developing their style.
