Meet Zachary Smith of Traveling Hands Massage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zachary Smith.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in the spa industry for almost 20 years at this point. I started as a locker room attendant and have since worked virtually every level within the business. I have been integral in opening and running two different high end spas, most recently at the Marriott Marquis, downtown.

About a year and a half ago, I was rear ended and really hurt my left shoulder. Unable to perform my massage therapy, I was eager to try anything that might help with my recovery. One of my friends suggested I try a cannabis topical, I noticed the pain began to subside almost instantly when applied to the affected area. After steady application for a couple of weeks, I was back working on my clients, virtually pain free.

With my experience in the industry and the harsh realization that all of my hard work didn’t equate to ownership of either company, I decided it was time to start my own company for me and my family’s future. A quick google search revealed that nobody in San Diego was advertising cannabis infused massage. In fact, my closest competitor at the time was in Colorado!

After speaking with Jordan of Primal Therapeutics I learned which ratios of CBD & THC work best for massage therapy. She encouraged me to pursue this vision and thus, Traveling Hands Cannabis Infused Massage was born.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been an incredibly smooth road, people are truly excited about what we are doing. The results are incredible.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Traveling Hands Massage – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Overall quality of therapists, Oil, and customer service. Having worked for years in high end environments, I know it’s the little things and attention to detail that are truly appreciated by the client.

Obviously the cannabis oil separates us from our competition, but the hand selected team of therapists is where my pride truly lies.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I LOVE how busy San Diego is, no shortage of things to do and see. I’m not crazy about living on top of each other (crowded city) but even for a big city, it has the ability to feel like a small town.
