Rising Stars: Meet Alexandra Fiene

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Fiene.

Hi Alexandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I became a social media influencer in early January 2022 with a friend of mine who has already been in the business for several years. It started with my love for fashion styling that I developed through the years of being a retail buyer and wanted to tap into the creative side of the fashion space. Since posting outfits and links to where most items can be found, I’ve gotten such great feedback from my followers and acquired several brand deals to promote their items on my platform. I still have a long way to go to get to where I’d like to be, however, I’m enjoying the ride so far.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s easy to compare yourself to the competition that’s currently in the market, regardless of your field. In my case, there are influencers who are able to do this full time and have established themselves in the industry, and have obtained quite a following under their belt. I currently have a full-time job outside of content creation so it’s difficult to balance both responsibilities at times, however, I just keep in mind how much fulfillment it brings me outside of my 9-5 and that’s what keeps me going. Also, it’s important to remember that there’s only one you – only one version of you who thinks, acts, and has your point of view. We all have something to offer the world in our own unique way, and there’s room for everyone to succeed.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As I mentioned before, I am a retail buyer by day as well as a budding content creator. When it comes to my Instagram which is where I post the majority of my content, I specialize in fashion styling in a diverse way. My style as a Filipino American isn’t categorized by one genre, but more so a feeling. I am driven by what I am feeling for that day so I will dress accordingly. Through this, I am able to inspire others who “look like me” to take chances on looks that they wouldn’t have thought to pull together or would make sense in an outfit. The point is to get people’s gears turning in their minds and have them explore their own sense of style and draw any kind of inspiration from my page. And that, to me is something I am very proud of.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I learned how to ride a bike at 24. Haha A little late to the party but I finally got around to doing so! But through that, it taught me that it’s never too late to pick something up again that you thought wasn’t for you initially, and it’s also okay to fall several times before you can really master a skill.
