Rising Stars: Meet Giselle Lelux Campos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Giselle Lelux Campos.

Hi Giselle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ever since I have remembered, I wanted to be in the fashion and lifestyle world. My story started in Mexico, where I would paint all of my grandmother’s clients with elaborate outfits and hairstyles from a very young age. I moved to San Diego at the age of 12, not knowing a lick of English but the drive to do something amazing with my new life.

I quickly thought myself how to speak English, take photos and use a computer and began growing social media accounts for multiple singers and brands. I have enjoyed fashion and blogging for close to a decade. Throughout my journey, I have worked with many lifestyle and fashion brands, ran my own fashion magazine out of NYC, have worked my way up the marketing agency ropes to a Creative Director role and have created fashion editorial for brands across the country.

After helping brands my whole life, I decided to work on my personal brand once again and began my Instagram journey and honestly, I have been having so much fun helping out businesses on a more personal level. I love how natural everything feels! I am the type of girl who dresses up every day of her life, just because, so being able to show my followers my world and feel supported by my community is so amazing! Besides my social media, I am also launching a book soon called the “Influencers Handbook,” where I share everything I have learned about social media, brands and fashion for any aspiring influencer to follow.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been unexpected in many ways but I have learned that everything bad that happens usually leads to an opportunity or lesson. One of the hardest thing I have had to overcome throughout my whole life are bullies or trolls. I have learned that the brighter you shine the more people will try to poke fun at you and bully you for things like your weight, how you look, your accent, etc… things that make you, you.

Self-love hasn’t come easy, but it is something I am proud of and I continue to share with my followers to encourage them to be themselves regardless of what anyone has to say.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My biggest passion is empowering others, whether is local businesses or aspiring influencers. I am proud of so many milestones in my career. Some include: Being able to help local nonprofits, helping small business owners, partnering with major brands I grew up with and of course, writing my own book!

How do you think about luck?
I find that the harder I work the more “luck” I have! I am a true believer in manifesting your future so in my eyes, I have attracted all the luck I have had throughout my career!
