Art & Life with Rayhan Tabani

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rayhan Tabani.

Rayhan, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
When I was 16, I began to make music. I started off by recording in my mom’s closet, then moved on to performing at small coffee shops and house parties. I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream by way of Occidental College, but school wasn’t for me so I dropped out. When I dropped out, I had developed a hair cutting business all over campus and this began to take me across LA. I plan to become the best barber in LA as well as the best r&b artist.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
Real R&B. You can’t put a title on music in my opinion though. I’m just telling my stories and writing letters through my music. Everything I write is real and true, but if somebody can inspire me to write a song about them, then they’re special. Those are the best songs I make. I just hope people can relate to it and enjoy it.

How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
Success is the sum of all the work you put in. Growth. Potential. Realizing who you are and not letting anybody tell you who that is. Nobody can take this away from me, and that’s another step towards success.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
Soundcloud, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Tidal. Support by sharing and following my Instagram @raytabani.
