Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmelle Hasan.
Carmelle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started just like most people, with big dreams & no idea how I would accomplish them. In the midst of my struggles, I always knew that I wanted to do something great. It would most likely be something that included helping people & fashion, which had been my passion since I was a little girl. Long story short, God had already had big plans for me, but it wouldn’t go the way I had always imagined. I am where I am today, because God used my brokenness & need for healing (mentally, physically & spiritually) as a testimony that would inspire others & offer them hope. I was never the poster child for sickness. Meaning that you wouldn’t never know my pain by looking at me on the outside or even having a conversation with me. It wasn’t until God shifted my life in a big way that I would begin peeling off the layers that was keeping me from becoming who I was created to be.
Healing myself of my health concerns, after seeing multiple doctors over the course of several years, sparked my current journey of passion & purpose to spread the knowledge of self-healing & wellness to all people. I decided to use my desperate need for healing to become a light for others to see how they can also use their internal power to heal themselves.
A few years into my personal healing journey I founded Discover C.A.R.M.E.L.L.E., a holistic wellness boutique offering educational programs & services for women, children & families turning simple lifestyle changes into big results. I wanted to shed light on the healing from the root, which is where the wellness journey begins. Studying alongside some of the top professionals in the industry has equipped me for limitless success. While expanding my businesses, I am currently furthering my education in health sciences at a university & will have achieved a certification as a master herbalist in early 2020.
I also recently embarked on a new journey in September 2019 when I launched Revelation Nutraceuticals Organx, the first bio-individuality, healing-care company in the United States, focusing on healing from the root cause of dis-ease. Revelation Nutraceuticals Organx offers customized, healing-care packages & products that cater to the individual, instead of generalized products that are “one-size fits all”. Products we focus on range from hygiene to skincare to chronic illness.
I have been a business owner for over a decade & have dedicated my life to educating & supporting others toward complete wellness. This is just a small portion of my journey. Waking up every day to fulfill this purpose is rewarding & priceless. This is only the beginning.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not! I struggled with my insecurities, feeling like I was not enough to do what I believed God was calling me to do. It was very difficult being a single mother for 15 years raising a son to be ambitious, loving, trust-worthy, “woke”, with a spiritual foundation, when I was struggling with my brokenness. Once I started my holistic wellness business, it was difficult helping people to see how their choices & decisions played a huge role in their health challenges. I just wanted to help everyone & I wasted a lot of time & energy trying to convince people that they wanted & needed my help or the help of other holistic professionals. I had already achieved so much in my healing journey & my life was an example of major healing, but I couldn’t get people to see that healing was for them as well.
I went through moments in my life when even the people closest to me were not supportive of my journey & believed that, according to them, I wasn’t even qualified to do this work. It’s been a road of me just trusting God, without much external support. Even though God has allowed me to achieve so much, speak across the country & have clients around the world, there are still those who can’t see or accept me in this new light & happiness. I had to shift my focus completely & do things despite what others believed.
I started my companies despite the obstacles! I became the first young, African American female minority to launch a nutraceuticals company in the United States that focuses solely on bio-individuality & healing from the root without a car & major resources…just myself & God. There is so much more to my story & there have been a lot of sleepless nights & tears shed, but I have overcome through it all!

At Discover C.A.R.M.E.L.L.E., I’m known for my healing-care workshops, being a plant-based, vegan chef & helping families around the world to achieve their wellness goals & maintain a healthier lifestyle. I’m most proud of how my companies truly focuses on bio-individuality & catering to each client’s specific needs. I honestly do care about each one of my clients & customer’s health goals. When they achieve the slightest goal, I celebrate it with them. We are more like family. Revelation Nutraceuticals & Discover C.A.R.M.E.L.L.E. are less companies & more of a movement. My attention to others sets my company apart. This is not about money. This is about bringing the community together & genuinely educating others on how to seek within for their healing powers. I genuinely want everyone to win & experience love & healing the way I have, but how God intended for them. Others would say that what sets me apart from others is “my heart & how I do what I do with love & intention”.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My father & mother both deserve so much credit. I wouldn’t be heard without them. I don’t want to give them credit just because they are my earthly parents, but because my father has been my biggest mentor throughout my entire healing journey, even & especially through the roughest times. He has been there through the tears, sleepless nights, moments of wanting to give up, second guessing myself & struggles not having a vehicle. He is by far my biggest cheerleader & supporter. My mother has been there to help me along the way when starting my businesses & helping me with my son. She understands the struggles of a single mother because she was raised by one & took on a lot of the responsibility raising my brothers & I. Even if she wasn’t sure how I would accomplish things sometimes, she never discouraged me from following my heart & living my dream. Currently, my biggest cheerleaders are my sister-tribe! The women that surround me in my life at the moment encourage, pray & cheer for me daily. It’s what I’ve prayed for & I am so grateful to have each one of them in my life.
