Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathleen Gundert.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story began in North Park San Diego, where I was born and raised by my mother and father, a now Retired Fire Captain out of National City, with my two brothers.
Growing up I always felt pressure, as so many do, to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. As High School came to an end I felt lost and didn’t feel called to any specific field of study or work and certainly did not know what my passion was. I compared myself to other kids who had a solid plan and were pursuing their goals and dreams. How did they know what they wanted to do with their lives? I came to the conclusion that only the “lucky” few got to find their passion and the rest of us had to actually work a real job. During this time I was riddled with feelings of anxiety (fear), worthlessness, self doubt and insecurity due to my lack of direction.
I ended up landing a decent job when I was 18 years old. I was working for a well known investment firm in Downtown San Diego and I was the youngest Sales Assistant working at the branch. I was assigned to 13 Financial Advisors to handle all of their back office duties. I was overwhelmed, filled with anxiety and had a moment where I found myself sitting at my desk contemplating my life. While I was grateful for the job, I found myself thinking,”So this is what I do for the next 45 years? I spend my life waking up before the market opens, sit here in this office, and stare at this screen so I can make a life for myself?” It just didn’t feel like that was what life was supposed to be about. After almost 4 years, I abruptly left the career behind and I had no plan. Crippled with fear, I tried over and over again to make a shoe fit that just didn’t fit. I realized with my rational mind that the definition of insanity was trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, however, I still felt lost. I worked for numerous other corporate jobs and felt the same way every time. My soul was dying under those fluorescent lights and wasted hours sitting in traffic.
Over the years, I started to really look forward to coming straight home to have wine or cocktails after work. This was my reward for living such a miserable existence and I deserved it. Over time, I began to rely on alcohol more and more to help treat my anxiety and to relieve stress. This worked at first and then it had the opposite effect; I felt more anxious and stressed all of the time and needed to have a drink just to take the edge off. This obviously proved to be an issue and I realized I had to make a radical change to my lifestyle.
I got sober in January 2017 and my whole life and existence here on Earth changed. With a clear head and with stable emotions, I was able to assess my life, my decisions up to that point and how I seemed to coast through life reacting to it instead of creating opportunities for myself. I had a massive spiritual awakening that has changed who I am as a person, or made me more aware of who I truly am at a soul level. My consciousness has expanded as a result of, not only my sobriety, but the spiritual awakening. I discovered that I am a highly sensitive, intuitive empath that can feel others emotions. This can prove to be challenging in certain situations (ie airports, crowded indoor spaces, in traffic, etc). I began to understand the anxiety I have felt my whole life was really my intuitive guidance system trying to communicate with me. Once I came to this realization, I was able to flip the script and channel this energy in a positive way.
Infinite Soul Guidance was created when I decided to abandon what society had programmed me to view as successful, being a slave to a 9-5. I turned my hobby, reading Tarot, into a business. I now use my gift to provide Tarot readings to individuals who are at a crossroads in their life. I have a strong interest in psychology and self help topics, which come through in my readings. The readings I do dig deep under the surface of the ego to reveal hidden areas of the subconscious mind and shadow areas of a situation, to reveal the truth.
I have learned that some of life’s most challenging decisions reveal themselves through doing not thinking; through trial and error. I have learned that patience is needed while searching for our passion and it will be revealed to us at the right time in our life. I truly believe I had to go through what I went through in order to come out the other end a changed person with a fresh perspective. I owe this all to my sobriety and a belief in a Power Greater Than Myself.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road was definitely not smooth for me. I struggled to find my path and my purpose and then judged myself harshly for not knowing what I was here to do. I tried to fit into a mold that was not right for me for many years. My advice for other young women, or men, would be to be kind to yourself and have patience and a trust in the process. Sometimes when life doesn’t happen according to our plan, there is a higher purpose and reason for this you will understand one day. Trust that the Universe is working with you, not against you, and that everything happens for good. Your path and purpose will reveal itself in time; just keep going!

I offer Personal Tarot Readings that are done remotely. I am able to connect with anyone, no matter where on the globe they live and I am able to sense emotions from any physical distance as well. My readings are known for being heavily influenced by my interest in psychology and self-help topics. My goal in each readings is to bring forward what the subconscious mind has hidden from the surface. This allows the person to see a situation in their life from a different perspective. This is where healing occurs and spiritual and emotional growth seem to happen.
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
You do not have to have your whole life mapped out; just begin. See where life takes you and stay open. Don’t be afraid to completely change direction and do something radically different with your life at any age, in any moment. Live with an open heart space, let your intuition guide you and you cannot fail.
