Meet Jeremie Izon of Eat Rich Live Well in Chula Vista

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremie Izon.

Jeremie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a child growing up, I was glued to watching the Food Network, inspired by many of the chefs in likes of Emeril Lagasse and Bobby Flay to name a few. To this day, I always loved cooking for family and friends. It wasn’t until my wife (Jaymee Izon) inspired me to finally pursue what I love to do, which is how Eat Rich Live Well came about. My goal is to be able to provide healthier meal options, but still remain delicious and affordable.

Eat Rich Live Well is named after a late loved one, Richwell Doria, whom my first son is named after as well. He is the driving force and inspiration behind a lot that I do. Richwell is truly loved, missed, and always in my thoughts. His name will live on forever through my son and my first business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As this being my first business, I knew things wouldn’t be easy. From creating a menu, marketing on social media, applying for state licensing, and spending hours cooking and packaging – all of it was new and at times very stressful, questioning whether or not this would be worth it in the end. Though I’m still learning with many more obstacles to face down the road, my love for cooking for others will steer me in the right direction.

Tell us more about the company.
Eat Rich Live Well is a meal prep company where our mission is to provide delicious, healthy, and affordable meals to those who are on the go, busy working, have no time to cook, or want to live a healthier lifestyle. We put our heart and soul into preparing meals for our customers since we understand that life can be hectic. We are proud of being able to share our delicious food and having a sense of fulfillment knowing we are a part of someone’s journey towards healthy living.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t necessarily say that luck played a role, but events and triumphs along the way has brought me to where I am today. I strongly believe when one door closes, there’s always another door to open and that everything happens for a reason.
