Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Rivera.
Daniel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I joined the Marine Corps in 2009. After serving for ten years, I decided to exit in order to pursue my dreams of professional wrestling which I had started in 2014 and acting/stunt work. I worked so hard for everything I ever wanted in life. My biggest motivation has been my daughter. She’s five years old and is also an actress.
I have written and directed and starred in my own film. I have done stunts for a featured film called Speed of Time and I have wrestled all over the United States and even done work with WWE, New Japan Pro Wrestling & Impact wrestling.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No the road is never smooth. Along the way I’ve gone through a divorce, hardships, I was homeless, and I’ve gone through heartbreak. The struggles will always come but my fight to succeed will always beat it. My father told me “Pursue your dreams or live a nightmare” and that always stuck with me when I thought of giving up.

I am an independent professional Wrestler. I wrestle Under the persona Danny Limelight. I have been a champion in five different companies and have grown a fan base by earning the respect of fans everywhere. My merchandise consists of t-shirts, 8×10 photos and enamel pins. The fans enjoy supporting as well.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a smart kid but somehow always found myself in trouble. My interests were always wrestling and acting but I just didn’t know how to get there. I played sports (basketball, boxing and baseball) and had a big family. I loved comic books and I loved cooking and spending time with my grandmother.
