Lightning, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always been an artist. It started with fine arts like painting and drawing. Then once I got to high school, I started getting more into computer arts. Finally, once I got to college, I realized that I wanted to make music. in the back of my head, I always wanted to make music but didnt have the equipment.
My friends gifted a few DAWS to me and it took off from there. I am still learning till this day, putting in work and making the sacrifices to better myself. I am just trying to perfect my craft. The elders in my family are my motivation to strive for greatness. At first, I was shy with showing people my productions, but after I did, I was amazed with the feedback I got from my teachers. I even got positive feedback from my number one critics my parents, so I am all in,
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes of course, Just like anyone else, you have things that get in the way, but you have to be strong. The main struggle has to be the money and mostly the time you need to put into this craft in order to make it. By any means, I will get it. Fortunately, i have been raised to be resilient and humble, so I understand how to move correctly.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am an independent producer. I spend my time trying to network with artists and get my name out. I am a quick learner and I blend in with my surroundings effortlessly. I venture into other arts once in a while but I mainly engineer and produce. I am very versatile and passionate about mastering craft.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
It’s up from here. I’m ready to hustle and be the greatest.
