Today we’d like to introduce you to Cokeuh.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Cokeuh. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Kill Cokeuh most easily explained is a collective. Initially starting after I dropped out of my first semester in college, I came to realize there were things I wasn’t’ looking to do for the rest of my life, whether it be taking orders from a boss everyday or waking up to do something I felt nothing for anymore.
I invested everything I was worth, and then some in order to get things off the ground and in motion for something bigger. What started as just clothing, skateboards and other garments eventually expanded into fields including mixed-media such as graphic design, photo/video and promotion for artists and businesses across the industry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I mean nothing good comes that easy so I’m not gonna say that, but the struggle is part of the process I’ll never not love it. I guess I’ve got to say not having enough hands at times, or not having enough time in the day has still go to be the biggest struggles you feel me. Whether it’s those nights with no sleep or having to distance yourself from everything and everyone at times to do nothing but work.. things add up and you really just have to keep in mind what you are working for.
At the end of the day though, all of this comes down to how much you’re willing to put in to get what you want out of it, everybody gonna have their own set of standards you’ve got to just know why you’re doing all this and trust the process. Another reason I implemented the word “kill” into the name. The “kill” in Kill Cokeuh really stands for, (K)nowledge, (I)nduces, (L)ucrative, (L)ife. I’m not gonna say too much more, but don’t let that go over your head.
We’d love to hear more about your art.
Kill Cokeuh is a collective specializes in multiple fields, first starting in clothing garments, skateboards and accessories, we’ve expanded quite a bit these past couple years now also providing mixed-media, artwork and promotion for artists across the industry from locally to globally.
From album artwork and tour flyers to music videos and merch-designs, we also interview emerging music artists and help construct EPK’s and such for those across the industry. Along with helping emerging artists boost their careers, we’ve also worked with artists from the likes of Fredo Santana, Drakeo the Ruler, Ugly God and 55Bagz among plenty others.
The main goal as far as artist promotion with our company goes is to have a mutual appreciation and understanding with trying to grow between us and the artists involved. This goes for anyone involved or apart of the company in whatever it might be, from the skaters on our team to the people who help with performances and events we put on, all the way down to the people just supporting whether its actually purchasing something or even reposting it.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I mean there’s always gonna be losses but at the same time, that’s what’s gonna make those wins so much better for real. I believe everything happens for a reason so all the good and bad luck is kinda out the window with me. I mean even when things get hectic or you really wondering why things playing out the way they are, you’ve just got to remind yourself to trust the process, keep doing what you gotta do and let things happen like they supposed to.
