Meet Trailblazer Sandra Estrada

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Estrada.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sandra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
First of all, thank you very much for this opportunity to present our company, products, and services. We are Employees HME (H for happiness, M for motivation, and E for engagement), and we are working very hard to make employees feel more appreciated in all small and medium-sized companies in San Diego County.

My name is Sandra Estrada, and with my customer service experience and multi-cultural background, I tried to figure out for approximately one year a kind of business that was able to help people and make them feel happier. For 18 years, I was focusing on making customers happy. Still, I realized that companies like the one I was working without a formal Human Resources Department; they weren’t focusing on employees’ engagement at all. I have decided to open this business, which I can describe in a few words as ‘’customer service for your employees’’. Now, I’m learning that even some companies with a formal Human Resources Department, don’t do this kind of services for their employees, not because they don’t want to do it, it’s just because they don’t have the time or the people to help them with these important tasks. We know that little details can make a big difference in attitude, all in a positive way, right?

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When I started this beautiful adventure, I never imagined all that it would entail. Still, it has been an experience of a lot of professional and human growth that makes me feel very fulfilled and happy. I’m just starting with my business, and I know this will be a long journey with a lot of lessons to learn, but I love the idea of ​thinking about all the growth that I’ll have along this way, and this encourages me to keep going despite any obstacle that may be present. Our attitude and mindset must always be positive, even in difficult times. I can do it; you can do it, we can do it!

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
The best advice I can give to another enterprising woman is to always fight for your dreams, to recognize and celebrate all your achievements and to be strong. The effort and perseverance always have their reward, lean on all the associations and groups that exist in this country to guide and support when you are starting your own business, you can get a lot of help to start your dream and make it come true.
