Andrea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started with the idea of being my own boss, I remember I used to work for this company that I loved but I hated being told what to do or when to do it so I decided to figure out a way to start my own business. At first, I didn’t know what to sell, I’ve always been a girl that loves fashion in fact, I consider myself a shopaholic for trends and shoes and that’s when it hit me. I realized that if there was a brand that sold trendy, good quality shoes at affordable prices a lot of girls like me would absolutely fall for it, and that’s when it all began.
Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely no.
First of all, it’s really hard taking the decision of quitting a full-time job to start from zero your own business, it’s challenging and scary. Getting out of my comfort zone and exposing myself to everyone out there starting a new brand wasn’t easy, I remember people telling me why shoes? Everyone sells shoes, it’s not going to work, you should do something different.
When I started, I used to do everything myself, from shipping orders to creating content for social media/website and it was exhausting, I sacrificed a lot of parties and trips but I knew I had to grow up and be there for my business 24/7, posting content everyday, answering emails, innovating and here I am, eight months later writing an interview on a magazine, selling more than 500 pairs of shoes per month and answering hundreds of DMs of girls all around México and the US asking for more and more restocks because they want a pair of mulier.
So yeah, it hasn’t been a smooth road but it’s been so worth it.
