Hidden Gems: Meet Jordan and Jeremy Allen of All Love No Beef

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan and Jeremy Allen.

All Love No Beef was inspired by identical twin brothers Jordan and Jeremy Allen (The Plant-Based Twins), who were raised by a single mother in a food desert in Cleveland, Ohio where malnourishment and malice in the streets has led to sickness and stress in the community. The lack of healthy food led the twins to being diagnosed with Alopecia – an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. Although the dermatologist told them the disease was not curable, they were able to reverse their disease with a plant-based lifestyle. Since moving to Southern California in 2016, Jeremy and Jordan have made it their purpose to restore immunity in the community and get people back to the garden. We believe this can be achieved through a community of love.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hurdles are largely due to the fact that we as people have been taught that high-fat processed food is the best with grains/legumes. Ay to eat. It’s a part of the culture. So our hurdle has been, how do we make plants popular. How do we bring immunity to the community? Preventative care is what we need most. And that just means eating a diet that is high in plants and now in dairy/animal products.

So, the road has not been smooth because we see people are dealing with issues that can be revered with love and a change in food choices. People shouldn’t have to deal with depression, anxiety, acne, skin issues, auto-immune disease, cancer, obesity, cardiovascular disease, fatigue, gut issues, self-confidence… these are all heavily impacted by the food we put in our bodies. We can make a change and take control of our health.

We’ve been impressed with All Love No Beef, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We believe love is the answer. Love is taking care of your health. The All Love No Beef lifestyle offers an inclusive community that pushes one another to take control of our health and share the love. We do this through apparel, media and entertainment, such as unscripted documentaries and festivals. Our goal is to end food deserts and to bring immunity to the community. The brand is not for us. It’s for the people.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see it blowing up!!! There’s a shift happening right at this moment where people are becoming more health-conscious. People want to know what they are consuming. People are starting to understand the connection between food and mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. The next shift is making it cool! Making it a part of our culture. How do we make plants dope?!

Another shift happening is the attention on food deserts in urban neighborhoods. Every person should have access to high-quality fruits and vegetables. There should be a farmers market, whole foods, smoothie shop in every neighborhood. People will take control of their health. It’s ok to eat burgers, fries and a milkshake. Just make it plant-based.
