Today we’d like to introduce you to Marren Castaneda.
Marren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At the time, I was a television and film makeup artist but was feeling as though something was missing. I began to see my birthday numbers, 327, everywhere I went. Based off my spiritual beliefs, I knew I was seeing these numbers consistently for a reason, so decided to research what the numbers meant.
I learned that it is a sign of new beginnings and blessings to come. It also means that peace will make you strive towards resolution, rather than worrying and being in distress. This made me take a look at what my true passions in life were and desired to find what my true calling was. I realized that I have always appreciated and been fascinated by how mood-lifting a new piece of jewelry was to me. I continued to grow my personal collection over the years but found that most pieces would irritate my skin. This inspired me to create my own spiritual line of hypoallergenic, nickel and lead-free jewelry brand.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most entrepreneurs, starting my business has not been a smooth road. I have had difficulties working with very little capital, going through trial and error with suppliers, and keeping up with demand. Thankfully, with time and patience, I have learned the ways to grow my business as efficiently as possible.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in spiritual and meaningful jewelry pieces. I am most known for incorporating ethereal interpretations into my work. I am most proud of my “Aten” earrings because they contain the lucky stone Labradorite. This crystal takes on the energies from both the sun and the moon to bring success and changes in your overall quality of life. Wearing certain crystals can transform your outlook and bring you positivity and clarity. This product has become one of my best sellers. It makes me feel blessed with each sale, knowing the fortune the earrings will bring them.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as being able to work on my passion each and every day while knowing that my pieces help customers embrace change. My aim is for my consumers to celebrate the new beginnings in their lives, positive or negative, accepting the fact that everything happens for a reason. Transitions happen for us, not to us.
