Meet Victoria Veronese of Brighter Dayz CBD

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Veronese.

Hi Victoria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My family decided to start our own CBD company last year based on our personal experience with the benefits of CBD. Our mother battled stage IV cancer for 6 years before she passed away in 2018 and one of our biggest concerns was her quality of life. CBD was one of the alternative natural remedies for pain relief suggested by one of her Physicians. As a nurse, I was very concerned about quality and safety and did extensive research on CBD and CBD products. Because CBD is not FDA regulated there is quite a bit of variation on the market so it took us a while to find good products. Her positive experience with CBD led us to incorporate CBD into our healthcare routine as well as for our elderly pups.

As I continued to explore the benefits of CBD, I was struck by the amount of misinformation out there and when I spoke to friends who also took CBD, I realized they did not know much about what they were taking. As I began to share my knowledge I realized that educating on the safe use of CBD had become a passion of mine. As a result of that passion, my brother Anthony and I decided that we would start our own company so that we could continue educating consumers and provide quality CBD products so that others could realize the benefits of CBD.

What I love most is connecting with our customers, learning their story and sharing with them safe, quality CBD products that they can incorporate into their wellness routine.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. The city, state, and federal laws regarding CBD are very confusing and it took a lot of research to ensure we were staying in compliance. Even though CBD products contain either no THC (psychoactive component of Cannabis) or the acceptable legal amount for hemp the marijuana stigma extends to hemp-based CBD products so traditional financing to start a CBD business were not available to us. As a result, we have done everything on our own while still working full time. In addition, we have been dealing with the challenges brought on by COVID such as limited in-person events and supply chain shortages. It would have been easy to just give up, but our commitment to educating the consumer about CBD outweighed the obstacles.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Brighter Dayz CBD?
With the popularity of CBD, many have jumped into the market to try and make a quick buck so you often will find CBD being sold by anonymous drop-shippers who know nothing about CBD. We truly are a small family business who has made a commitment to our customers to provide safe, quality CBD products with a personalized approach to the customer experience.

I am a nurse with over 20 years of experience in critical care and have seen the toll chronic pain, anxiety and depression have on quality of life as well as the harsh side effects some of the prescription drugs used to treat these conditions have so I am a strong advocate for taking a holistic approach to care. My brother, Anthony, who is the co-founder of our business, is a Marine Corp veteran who has seen firsthand the devastating effects of PTSD and the benefits of including CBD to help alleviate symptoms. We both feel that safe natural remedies such as CBD are a great addition to traditional western medicine.

While natural remedies have often been dismissed by healthcare professionals in the past, there has been growing interest in alternative medicine which include natural remedies such as CBD. Researchers have found that CBD has anti-inflammatory, pain-reducing, and neuroprotective properties that can be beneficial for such conditions as chronic pain, anxiety, depression, arthritis, and epilepsy.

I’m most proud of the fact that we have remained committed to our mission to educate on the benefits of CBD and provide safe, quality products and have not sacrificed our ethics for the sake of the bottom line. We have a comprehensive list of CBD products from ingestibles such as tinctures, gel capsules, and gummies to a variety of topicals and pet products. All our products are made with USDA certified organic CBD and are third-party, independently lab tested for quality, ensuring that there are no pesticides, heavy metals or microbes in our products.

We are known for our personal approach with our customers. When we do in-person events we spend a great deal of time getting to know our customers and their needs and helping them find the products best suited for them. CBD is not a miracle cure all and like anything else, some people respond better than others and it is our duty to make sure our customers are informed and have a clear understanding of what they are consuming so we are available via email, phone or text if our customers have any questions or concerns.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is going on a road trip to the Grand Canyons with my family. We stopped at several locations on the way including a little Flintstone Village where we took lots of pictures and I still have one framed and displayed in my home. Throughout the years we continued to make wonderful memories while on vacation with the ones that we took after my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer being the most poignant. Now that she is gone, I find great comfort in the photos and our shared time together.
