Hi Tracey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am an Army wife, mom of five, Navy veteran and passionate party planner. I’ve been planning parties, weddings, baby showers and everything in between for the last 15 years for family and friends. While I was serving in the Navy, I realized how much I enjoyed helping people celebrate their special moments. Event styling is a way to express my creative side while doing something I am passionate about, which is serving others. Suite Life Rentals is a Slumber Party and Rental company started in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. While the world shut down thankfully, my business took off! This business has brought so much joy and purpose to my life and I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love. I can’t wait to create the most memorable slumber party for you and your family. Welcome to the Suite LIFE!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! Leaving a stable, reliable, consistent job to start your own business was not an easy road. We started in the pandemic when everything was uncertain. It took a few months to get the word out about the business because most people weren’t aware of “teepee” business. Having no prior business knowledge or marketing skills, I had to learn the old fashion way, trial and lots of error. The one thing I learned while being a new business owner is to never stop learning and seek advice, counsel and surround yourself with like-minded people who can help you navigate this ever-changing business. I’ve learned to study my craft, keep up with trends and if necessary pivot. If something isn’t working, don’t be afraid to try something new. Most importantly, I’ve learned to trust my instincts and continue to put my faith in God.

Suite Life Rentals is a Slumber Party and Rental Company. We specialized in luxury picnics teepee sleepovers for girls, boys, teens and even adults. We also offer rentals such as kid’s chairs, tables, Inflatable movie screens, popcorn machines and candy carts. What sets me apart from the rest is my meticulous attention to detail. I strive for perfection with every event and believe customers satisfaction.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
My most important lesson I’ve learned is to take time for self-care. Work-life balance is a need and it’s not optional. I wanted so much to be successful that I didn’t take time out to replenish my mind and body. Now, me time is on the schedule, weekly!
