Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Gregg.
Hi Kevin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am an immigration partner with the immigration/medical malpractice law firm Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli and Pratt. The firm is based in Miami, and I am the San Diego partner. I work in removal defense, federal court litigation, and affirmative benefits before USCIS and the Department of State.
In addition to my normal practice, I had always wanted to do something entrepreneurial with immigration law. At the onset of the pandemic, my wife suggested that I begin a podcast where each week, I read, summarize, and explain recent precedential immigration decisions. I loved the idea. No longer burdened by a commute, I had the time necessary to begin. Thus, the Immigration Review® Podcast was born!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
After two years, the podcast is still a lot of work. It takes time to read the decisions, outline them, and then record and edit the audio. But it’s certainly gotten easier over time, and made me a better attorney along the way.
Also, with the help of my wife, I’ve become somewhat functional promoting on social media – a challenge all its own! I’m proud of the show, and grateful for everything I’ve learned so far.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Immigration law seems to be constantly at the forefront of news and politics. It is certainly omnipresent in San Diego. Through the Immigration Review® podcast, I’ve tried to keep both immigration attorneys and non-attorneys alike up-to-date on all immigration changes, each and every week. I’ve tried to make the show accessible to everyone, beneficial to attorneys, and most importantly, humorous! I’d love to hear feedback from anyone and everyone. Thank you!
