Life & Work with Chelsea Figueroa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Figueroa.

Hi Chelsea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Let me start off by saying that I always knew I was meant for so much more. Ultimately I knew I was born to be an Entrepreneur. I didn’t want to look back on my life later down the road and wish that I did what truly made me happy. I’ve seen so many people work jobs that they dislike, in hostile environments, working for someone else’s dreams while they sit back and put themself on the back burner. I wanted my life to be filled with purpose and helping other people accomplish their dreams. To sum everything up, I had many failed businesses in the past. I did a few different things that ultimately led to a lot of debt, and no purpose. I believe that oftentimes we have to go through a lot of bumps in the road to lead us where we’re meant to be. My husband and I started our family young. By 29 I had two little girls and a ton of debt that haunted us daily. I knew that I wanted to be home with my girls, but I also wanted something for myself. A place where I could step into leadership, a flourishing environment, and a community of other Moms like myself. I wanted a safe space where I could be who I wanted to be and help other women make money from home. January 1st of 2022, we decided to embark on a new journey around the US, traveling for the next 1-2 years as a digital nomad family. With working from home, I knew I could take my business around the US while building these unforgettable memories with my family. The opportunity to travel around the US with my family, while earning an income, and being able to homeschool my girls has been truly amazing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We made so many mistakes as a young couple and family. We experienced many financial burdens at a young age with a newborn and a toddler. I specifically remember we had a yard sale in November 2017. My 6-month-old and 3-year-old were napping inside while we were trying to make extra money with our yard sale. My husband and I were sitting on our porch, and I remember the electricity shutting off. We looked at each other and just started crying. At that moment I felt like such a failure. Here we are with 2 little girls, stressed about money and had no idea how we were going to continue providing for our family. A week later our car got repossessed. It felt like it was one thing right after the other. I remember praying so hard to have the strength to get through everything. That Christmas we had our kid’s presents stolen out of the trunk at a family Christmas gathering. As hard as it was, I just knew that one day we would be able to look back on this and be grateful for everything we went through. Every hardship led us to where we are today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Just being who I am. I know it sounds so cliche, but I’m very proud of the woman I’ve become. My heart for helping others is what truly sets me apart. I believe in trully helping people become better, and adding value to their life in one way or another. I’m partnered with a luxury beauty brand and this is my main source of income. I decided to join Network Marketing because it was a business opportunity that allowed me to still be a present Mom but have something of my own. I quickly learned that the corporate world wasn’t for me. I wanted a business model that allowed me to help others. Recently I’ve become a Content Creator that specializes in travel and lifestyle. I’ve been able to build my business around the US and help others make money from home and earn trips while being present with their kids. Being able to help Moms that want to alleviate some of the overtime for their husbands, help out financially and take more time post partum. I love that I work with so many different people. Some are here to build a 6-figure business, and some just want to make extra money to support their Starbucks addiction.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I believe that you need many mentors in your life. Each mentor serves a different purpose. If you’re lucky enough to find a good mentor, it’s basically your cheat sheet to success. Networking with people has worked well for me. Vendor events, local Mom groups, coffee dates, content shoots, etc. Being in a space where you can connect with others and support their goals and dreams. It’s not just about YOU and how you’re going to benefit. When you connect with others and support their small business, everyone wins.
