Hi Jensine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
As a young child, I have been truly fascinated with crystals, stones, and astrology. As a teen, I constantly flipped over to the Horoscope page and breathed the words popping out of the page. Culturally, my grandmother would pin ginger to my shirt for protection. It’s not until later in life I realize I’ve been exposed to these practices without knowing the “why”? That “why” has now motivated me to bring awareness to spirituality, my intuition, and how I can project healing to those around me. Hence, I started to experiment with oils, mother nature’s resources, and the power of healing crystals in my candles.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I wish I could say that the journey to finding yourself is linear. But the road can be very bumpy. As a young adult, we struggle to define our purpose. Innately, I knew a couple things; I knew I wanted to be a mother, a wife, and a good person, all other things will fall into place and the universe works to make it happen. But I think it takes a lot of internal work to manifest your desires, it takes an immense mental capacity to power through difficult life events. But to become a small business owner with a separate career and family has been so rewarding. I am grateful to incorporate my passion into reality.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
The Alchemy Craft is exactly what it sounds. It is the manipulation of elements to create substance and transformation.
I am a candle maker; I hand-make healing candles to align with the senses. The natural oils heighten the power of smell and crystal energy to elevate the mood. Just like the life cycle of the human soul, we transform like phases of the moon. Candles are particularly powerful with your intentions and the pattern of the moon’s energy. I pride myself in creating candles made with organic soy, sustainably sourced crystals, and genuine pure positive intention.
While candles are my main focus, I dabble in creating crafts like astrological jewelry, trinket bowls, and crystal pouches.
As an intuitive person, I am immersed in my divination practice of tarot. The tarot is such a powerful source of guidance. I enjoy conducting my monthly readings for any open ears.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
We’ve come full circle with this question. I do not think one particular element of my life defines me. But my biggest “why” is being a mother. I do everything to create a magical life for my family while embracing that nothing is perfect.
