Meet Nadya Migalko

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadya Migalko.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been living in Encinitas for eight years and I love raising my children in this wonderful beachside community. Coming originally from Ukraine at the age of 9, I grew up in Los Angeles and have lived and worked in NYC for five years before settling down in North County San Diego. I first visited North County while attending UCSD and had retained the fondest memories of the laid-back, creative beach town vibe.

Now as a local, I am passionate about my community, dining, children’s activities, art, and perhaps most of all, real estate. My fascination with real estate started at a young age when as an immigrant family, my parents were able to purchase their first property in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. I would look at all of the beautiful homes in the different neighborhoods and wonder about them and the people that lived inside. Watching home renovation shows and working on DIY projects with my mother further fueled this passion and over time, I began to study the market and consider pursuing real estate as a career.

Now, as a mother and having had various professional experiences behind me, I love that I can get to know my own community through the lens of real estate. My genuine interest in people gives way for attentiveness and a caring approach when dealing with everyone involved. Kindness, honesty, and an exquisite attention to detail are my main strengths. My other passions include travel, cooking, hiking, yoga, the beach, and spending quality time with my family. I believe that relationships are the most important thing in life, and I invest greatly into fostering lasting and positive experiences with the people around me, both personally and professionally.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Coming from an immigrant family, I struggled a lot with what was expected of me versus what I actually wanted to be doing with my life. I have an adventurous spirit and I had to carve my own path. I believe strongly in following your passions for the sake of fulfillment in life and encourage everyone to do the same.

I also chose to have children at a younger age and that was difficult in terms of a career but now that they are older, I am really happy to be focusing a lot of energy and time on work and myself as well as my children. The challenge is often been to find balance between all three in life but I feel like I’m getting closer and I’m very happy with my decision.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Real Estate Agent?
I am very proud to work with The Beal Group in Solana Beach, which is part of Compass. We specialize in properties that are in North County and there are some truly amazing homes here. The lifestyle is incredible, and I feel so lucky and blessed to be living and working in this community. I truly love everyone on my team, which is incredibly supportive and professional. I find real estate to be a very fun and rewarding profession. I personally love a challenge, solving problems, and the fulfillment of being there for a major life decision for someone. I have a very calm demeanor and I often get the feedback that I am very pleasant to work with. Listening skills are huge in this industry and being able to negotiate and lobby for your clients. I see myself doing this work for a very long time and enjoying it.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Anyone can get in touch with me for their San Diego real estate needs by calling, emailing me, or even connecting with me on Instagram. I am also always happy to work with and collaborate with other agents. I believe in supporting people in all aspects of their lives and careers.
